Joseph Gutierrez is an anti-social boy with a peculiar ability. He dreams the dreams (or nightmares) of other people upon initial contact with them, and because of this, spends his nights, wide awake, avoiding them. Although when he crosses paths with a mysterious boy bearing a terminator-esque appearance, his excessive dreaming stops, striking Joseph's curiosity, leaving him determined to find out this mysterious boy's secrets to dreaming... 1st place winner at the 4th Annual High School Film Festival (also my last high school film festival.) Now, I didn't originally intend to upload this film for a variety of reasons, bUT a cERtaiN someone found a hobby in pestering me about uploading it for the sole reason of him wanting to be able to see himself eating beef jerkey sO... But yes, here it is, Dreamcatcher. Now here me out. This was the very first film that I've made for an actual grade, meaning that it was rushed and doesn't make a whole lot of sense in a whole lot of places. When I say that, I mean, get ready for plot holes. Plot holes everywhere. I re-watched the film moments before actually uploading and I had far too much to say to myself about technical and story-driven aspects, and I do fully intend on re-making this film sometime in the far future when I actually have a wider range of skills. Such as decent knowledge of special effects. Look at them special effects. With that said, do not get me wrong. I am pretty proud of this film, as it is actually not as bad as it could have been given the time we were given to make it. We literally had limited everything: Actors, location, props, skills, time, you name it. But I think we really did pull it off with what we had so, therefore, I applaud myself and the cast and crew.
